About

Modern designs combined with renowned techniques

Established back in 1984, Homecrafts has always been run by the same family, and as the company has grown, this traditional business has continued to do exactly what it has done for all those years: producing high quality joinery and growing our reputation for beautiful craftsmanship.

Always looking after our loyal customers

We are committed not only to providing the best quality service to our customers, but also do our bit to help out the local communities – our teams regularly get involved in raising money for charity and helping out with local projects.

We also do our best to look after the environment. Whatever waste or offcuts we have left over are used to heat our workshop through the winter months, and we use a wide range of materials and products such as ironmongery, glass, timber and paints that can help minimise our carbon footprint.

Our Homecrafts team

Along with the two owners, Andrew and Edward, the Homecrafts team consists of 10 highly skilled members, some who have been with us for over 25 years, working together to create beautiful products for your home.

Find out more about our team below…

Andy Veitch – Managing Director

Andy Veitch – Managing Director

The driving force behind Homecrafts, Andy Veitch has been with company since the very beginning. A real craftsman at heart, he has helped build up the business as we know and love it now. You’ll usually find Andy with his tools – likely making sash windows and furniture – but if not then you will find him spending time with his family and getting involved in (and enjoying) triathlons too!
Edward Wainwright – Director

Edward Wainwright – Director

Passed down to him from his parents, Edward fulfilled his dream of working at Homecrafts when he joined the team in 2012 and has helped move the organisation into the demands of today, whilst still keeping the traditional joinery methods alive. As the face of Homecrafts, Edward makes sure that clients’ requirements are fulfilled and prides himself on looking after our loyal customers.
Carl Milner – Building Director

Carl Milner – Building Director

As an absolutely super-skilled tradesman, Carl has years of expertise under his tool belt. Helping with massive building projects, Carl often guides customers with his expertise to ensure they get their dream home. As well as his love for listed buildings, it has been well noted that he loves a cup of coffee and chocolate bar.
Lynn Macdonald – Secretary

Lynn Macdonald – Secretary

Lynn has been at the company for over 25 years and makes sure everything (and everyone) stays in line. With her comprehensive knowledge of the organisation, she is great person to talk to if you have any questions…she may even tell you some tales about the boys.
Paul Craig – Joiner/Machine maintenance

Paul Craig – Joiner/Machine maintenance

With more than 30 years of experience and expertise, there is nothing Paul hasn’t seen or knows about joinery (we wonder what his Mastermind topic would be). With a tool for every job, Paul particularly enjoys making entrance doors and original Yorkshire slide windows, which has given him a great eye for detail.
Andrew Robinson – Joiner

Andrew Robinson – Joiner

Andrew joined the company back in 2001, and is our trained and qualified cabinet maker. Over the years, Andrew has certainly grown his reputation for accuracy and providing our clients with exceptional, quality work.
Mark Shaw – Joiner

Mark Shaw – Joiner

If you have a challenge then Mark is definitely your man. Having joined the team over 10 years ago, we have yet to find something that he can’t make (believe us, we’ve tried). He loves creating bespoke products for our customers and when he is not in our workshop, Mark enjoys spending time with his family.
Phil Brasier – Machinist

Phil Brasier – Machinist

A braver man than many, Phil is in charge of keeping the machine shop (and most of the guys) in order. With over 40 years of experience to his name, Phil provides exceptional support for the machine shop, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Dave Vessey – Joiner

Dave Vessey – Joiner

After first joining Homecrafts as a young apprentice, Dave successfully completed his apprenticeship a few years ago and has remained with us ever since. Now a fully trained bench joiner, Dave has over 7 years of experience in creating beautiful and high quality joinery.
Steve Smith – Joiner

Steve Smith – Joiner

Steve has been part of the Homecrafts team since 2002 and, while he absolutely loves making traditional sliding sash windows, Steve is a very versatile joiner and regularly impresses our customers with his finished products.
Aiden Hamilton – Paint Sprayer/2nd Year Apprentice Joiner

Aiden Hamilton – Paint Sprayer/2nd Year Apprentice Joiner

The new kid on the block. At only 17, Aiden first joined the team at the young age of 16 and provides great work as our spray finisher. He has also successfully completed his first year as an apprentice and is working towards becoming a qualified bench joiner.
